Jalissa Moody holds the Nuxalk names Sitl’ukamkiim and Aliis and belongs to the House of Nusmata and the House of Talyu. She is a member of the Nuxalk Nation and is of mixed-European descent. She joined Sa̱nala in October 2024 after spending the last 9 years in the Indigenous housing industry. Some recent Sa̱nala project collaborations include planning work for the Indigenous Community Leadership Circle of The Real Estate Foundation of BC, the Musqueam Indian Band, Remote Community Energy Strategy and the First Nations Health Authority. Jalissa’s experience is supported by a Bachelor of Interior Design and a Master of Community Planning, both from Vancouver Island University. Her free time usuallyconsists of rock climbing, honing her gardening skills, and hiking with her dog, family and friends.
