As a Planner who has been with Sa̱nala since early 2022, Ali has since contributed to wide range of projects including the International Marine Protected Areas Congress 5 (IMPAC5) Indigenous Events Coordination, Ehattesaht First Nation Comprehensive Community Plan, Taku River Tlingit Joint Visioning Process, and the Island Coastal Economic Trust Transforming Governance Process among many others. In 2023, Ali completed a Master of Community and Regional Planning degree with a concentration in Indigenous Community Planning from the University of British Columbia. Prior to transitioning into planning, Ali spent 8 years in the nonprofit industry including 3 years as an Executive Director. Her free time is mostly spent learning to garden and exploring trails and beaches on the Sunshine Coast with her dog Sunny.
