As a Planner who first joined the Sa̱nala team as an intern in early 2022, Ali has since contributed to wide range of projects including the International Marine Protected Areas Congress 5 (IMPAC5) Indigenous Events Coordination, Ehattesaht First Nation Comprehensive Community Plan, Taku River Tlingit Joint Visioning Process, and the Island Coastal Economic Trust Transforming Governance Process among many others. Ali completed a Master of Community and Regional Planning degree with a concentration in Indigenous Community Planning from the University of British Columbia. Prior to transitioning into planning, Ali spent 8 years in the nonprofit industry including 3 years as an Executive Director. Her free time is mostly spent exploring trails and beaches on the Sunshine Coast with her dog Sunny.
